What are Seaweed Baths?
Seaweed Baths are the simplest and purest of our organic treatment processes. Our detoxifying Seaweed Baths use the natural power of organic hand-harvested seaweed and seawater to deeply moisturise your skin, increase circulation and promote healing.
An initial optional steam treatment (3 mins max) will open your pores to the beneficial nutrients contained within our seaweed.
Following this, you will relax in a bath of hot fresh seawater and seaweed, hand-harvested from the unspoilt Atlantic coast of Ireland. After the Bath you can choose to have a cool shower to help close your skin pores or leave all the natural goodness on your skin and simply towel-dry! This entire steam and bathing pampering session will last 50 minutes.
Loose clothing to change into after is advisable.
Seaweed Bathing
We do not recommend a seaweed bath if you are: in the first trimester of pregnancy (up to 14 weeks) ; are diabetic; are less than 6 weeks post-surgery; have medical stitches still in place; have a seaweed/iodine allergy; an overactive thyroid gland, a neurological disorder or have been advised by a medical professional to avoid hot water and steam.
We advise bathers to take their bath at a cooler temperature and avoid the steam unit if you: have high/low blood pressure, suffer from any heart-related conditions; are using anticoagulants, antihistamines, narcotics or tranquilisers; or if you are within the second/third trimester of pregnancy.
