Important Health Guidelines - Please Review
COVID - 19
Update in relation to COVID-19
We have made the difficult but important decision to temporarily close VOYA Seaweed Baths, as part of our community effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
Even with our ability to apply HSE guidelines in Bathhouse operations, we believe that the timing for this is now - allowing our amazing Staff and supportive Customers time to protect loved and vulnerable ones over this next period.
What are Seaweed Baths?
Seaweed Baths are the simplest and purest of our organic treatment processes. Our detoxifying Seaweed Baths use the natural power of organic hand-harvested seaweed and seawater to deeply moisturise your skin, increase circulation and promote healing.
An initial optional steam treatment (3 mins max) will open your pores to the beneficial nutrients contained within our seaweed.
Following this, you will relax in a bath of hot fresh seawater and seaweed, hand-harvested from the unspoilt Atlantic coast of Ireland. After the Bath you can choose to have a cool shower to help close your skin pores or leave all the natural goodness on your skin and simply towel-dry! This entire steam and bathing pampering session will last 50 minutes.
Loose clothing to change into after is advisable.
COVID - 19
Here at Voya Seaweed Baths, health and wellness is our main objective for our clients and staff, with that in mind and the recent Covid-19 outbreak we would ask any clients visiting us to bear the following in mind:
· If you have come from any of the effective regions in the last 14 days
· If you have had any contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19
· If you are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms
Please contact a member of staff to reschedule your appointment for a later date as the health and safety of our clients and staff are always at the foremost of our concern.
Thank you for your understanding and consideration on this matter.
We do not recommend a seaweed bath if you are: in the first trimester of pregnancy (up to 14 weeks) ; are diabetic; are less than 6 weeks post-surgery; have medical stitches still in place; have a seaweed/iodine allergy; an overactive thyroid gland, a neurological disorder or have been advised by a medical professional to avoid hot water and steam.
We advise bathers to take their bath at a cooler temperature and avoid the steam unit if you: have high/low blood pressure, suffer from any heart-related conditions; are using anticoagulants, antihistamines, narcotics or tranquilisers; or if you are within the second/third trimester of pregnancy.
For all who are availing of treatments you will be asked to complete a treatment consultation form at check-in. Your VOYA Seaweed Baths Therapist will be happy to discuss any queries you have and will adapt your treatment based on your individual needs.
Unfortunately, treatments cannot be carried out if: you have had major surgery within the last 6 months; minor surgery within the last 6 weeks: or are currently in the first trimester of pregnancy (up to 14 weeks).
If you have had major surgery within the last 2 years, but are 6 months post-surgery, please contact us directly at +353 71 9168686 or email us at email@example.com to discuss options available to you.
If you currently have Lymphoedema we ask that you provide a letter of support from your Medical Practitioner to confirm suitability for the treatment chosen.
A patch test is required for The Resurfacing Radiance Facial and AHA Peel add on. At least 24hrs in advance of treatment.
With your best interests at heart, and in line with our health and safety regulations, we reserve the right to cancel or change bookings due to contraindications to the scheduled treatment.
