From Shore to Soil

Our Commitment to Sustainability

For centuries, seaweed has been treasured along Ireland’s coastline for its natural richness and connection to the sea. As an island nation with over 5,000km of coastline, Ireland is home to a diverse range of seaweed species, each naturally absorbing minerals and nutrients from the surrounding Atlantic waters.

At VOYA, we honour this ancient relationship with the ocean through the careful hand-harvesting of wild seaweed from the Atlantic coast. Our harvesting practices are designed to respect the natural environment, allowing seaweed beds to regenerate while preserving the beauty and biodiversity of the coastline.

From the beginning, the Walton family has been committed to protecting the tradition of seaweed bathing while caring for the environment that makes it possible. After use in our Seaweed Baths, our seaweed is repurposed and donated to organic farms and gardens, where its natural nutrients can continue to support the land.

From shore to soil, we believe in respecting the natural cycle of the sea and celebrating the remarkable resources found along Ireland’s Atlantic coast.
